What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. (as of November 2019 we do not allow comments on our site).

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. (as of November 2019 we do not allow public uploading of images to our website).

Contact forms

If you use our contact form, the data you input into the contact form is not stored on this site in any way.  It is entered into an email which is then sent through secure means to our Office365 Tenant where it is stored in an email box.  This site does not store or retain any records or data that is provided by you to us, through the use of the Contact Form.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. (as of November 2019 we do not allow comments or users to be added to our website)

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.


Our site does use analytics tools including Google Analytics.  These tools do not capture or store any non-public information, and our use of these tools complies with the providers of said tools in their use and deployment.  Our site does not provide any of the data analytics we are able to capture from visitors with any third parties that are not provided by or providing to our analytics capabilities, to our website, insofar as the use of the analytics tools does not provide to those third parties.  

Who we share your data with

Office365 Tech Support, LLC does not share any of its data with any party for any reason, except as a consequence of using a tool that a third party is providing that requires data capture for its utilization.  To our knowledge, the only tool we use that may capture data as a consequence of it use is Google Analytics.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.  (as of November 2019 neither comments nor user are allowed on our website).

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

Any data you provide to us by means of our contact form is stored in a secure location (Encrypted Email Account in a Microsoft Office365 Tenant) and deleted after 3 years or sooner if the information you provided is not deemed of any relevance to the ongoing business of Office365Tech Support, LLC.

What data breach procedures we have in place

If any of our data is considered breached, we will notify you and all parties that are customers or prospects of Office365Tech Support, LLC.  We do not have any provisions for detection of a breach, and as such rely on Microsoft Corporation and their Office365 Tenancy Security to protect our data.

What third parties we receive data from

As of the publishing of this Privacy Policy, Office365Tech Support, LLC does not receive any data from third parties.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

As of the publishing of this Privacy Policy, Office365Tech Support, LLC does not utilize any automated decision making or profiling mechanisms with customer or prospective client data.
